Dusty, Golden City (San Francisco, Part I)

Two weeks ago I visited San Francisco for the first time.

My visit began in the most fitting way possible: a long, scenic hike with a good friend. We spent the day basked in a golden glow and our shoes got caked with red dust. When we got to the top of the mountain, we were met with a stunning panoramic view of the city and Marin headlands. We ate a baguette as we watched the tiny cars wind past rolling hills, the Golden Gate Bridge peaking enticingly out from the haze.
